Course Description
The race course will remain the same in 2025, including both 5 km and 15 km options. The goal being to have an option for people new to racing and/or trail runs by offering a shorter distance race (5 km) and having a longer race for those looking for an extra challenge (15 km). As always there will be some prairie, some single track, some sand, some slick bridges, and of course some hills!
The run is timed/chipped by inFocus Timing.
Energy drinks, water, and energy food are provided at race aid stations.
Awards
$35 Early Bird Registration starting December, 31st for both 5 & 15 km run. There is a total capacity (combined 5K & 15K) of ~350 participants, so make register early. 100% of net proceeds donated to Friends of Donald Park. Funds are earmarked for trail maintenance and repair.
Commemorative pint glasses are included with the registraion fee
SPECIAL LOCALLY CRAFTED AWARDS will be given to the overall male and female in each 5 km and 15 km as well as the top 3 in each age group: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50- 59, 60-69, and 70+.
Cash payout if you break the course record: $50 is added to the pot each year. In 2024 the female 5k and male 15k fell so they are back at $50. But the male 5k is at $150 and the female 15K is up to $250 for 2025.
Post Race
After the race, enjoy well-earned live music, delicious homemade cookies, chocolate milk, coffee, NesAlla Kombucha, and (for those of the legal age) Hop Garden Beer and Brix Cider.
